My Grandad, John Hubert Cavin

My amazing Grandad passed away on Saturday evening, March 19th.  He had a very long fight with cancer and is now in Heaven and pain-free.  We will miss him so much, he was a wonderful man and a very loving grandad.  He and my Grammie got married when she was 16 and he was 19, and they were married for 60 years.  They traveled all around the world and we visited them when they lived in Hong Kong and London.

I remember as a child visiting my Grammie and Grandad at their house in Big Bear and playing tennis with my Grandad, I loved that.  He also made the best homemade peanut butter fudge I've ever had, I wish I had the recipe!

Whenever I saw my Grandad, you can bet he was sitting on the patio with a scotch and a cigar.  He always loved hearing about my job and Blair's career and what we were up to in Dallas.  We had some great trips to Cabo with him the past few years and I am so thankful we could share those vacations with him.

I wish that I could have introduced him to our son, but I know that my Grandad will watch over him from Heaven.  Grandad, I love you very much and I will always miss you.
